The sun came out a bit while on the water yesterday. It was breath-taking. I found myself more mesmerized by the sunlight streaming through the clouds than by the whales that were swimming all around us.
And I witnessed my first Alaskan sunset on the bus ride back to the dock. Earlier in the season, the sun wouldn't set until after I was already in bed, so I always missed it.. And even if I had been awake, the cloud cover is always too thick for sunsets. But this one was just gorgeous!
